Statement on COVID-19 Response

At Vital Research our mission is to create vibrant communities by amplifying the voices of underserved populations through inclusive social science research and evaluation. We are committed to the health and wellness of our employees, partners, and community members and would like to share the following information about our current operations in response to COVID-19.

Nearly all of our clients come from the nonprofit sector. These organizations provide assistance to older adults, individuals with physical or intellectual disabilities, and youth and families most vulnerable to current events. As a small business, Vital Research is not immune to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic and we have taken significant steps to ensure the health of our own team members and the populations with whom we work. We have implemented flexible plans to accommodate future changes that will help to mitigate the effects of coronavirus on our work going forward.

As of March 16th, our team members who work in the Los Angeles office were asked to work remotely from home, and in compliance with California Governor Newsom’s statewide Stay at Home order, our physical office will remain closed until the order is lifted and we feel it is safe to invite staff back to our office. Despite these restrictions, we will continue to operate and support our partners and communities in the important work they do in service of others.

For almost 40 years, Vital Research has worked in Los Angeles and across the United States conducting research and evaluation for the greater good, and we do not intend to stop. We stand in solidarity with all small businesses, our partners, and the City of Los Angeles as we all face this unique and collective challenge together.
