Our Team of Experts

Vital’s greatest strength is our people. Driven by our mission, our highly trained team brings deep experience in human services research and a shared commitment to person-centered approaches. We are a community of 50 staff members connected to our Los Angeles headquarters and supported by up to 250 field staff across the country, all working together to advance high quality and equitable research and evaluation.

Our staff reflects a wide range of cultural perspectives, lived experiences, and professional pathways. More than half of our team members are people of color, and many speak multiple languages. Almost half of our staff hold advanced degrees in public health, gerontology, psychology, social work, and other social sciences. Most have specialized expertise in project management, sampling and study design, instrument development and validation, multimode data collection, advanced analytics, and utilization focused reporting.

For privacy and security reasons, and in response to past incidents of external impersonation, we do not display all team members online. Even so, every person at Vital contributes meaningfully to our work, and the collective expertise of our staff is what powers our impact.
